The Twilight teaser trailer.




It looks cheesy, romantic, embarrassing, compelling.  Just like the book.  ;)
By the way, borders has a good video interview with the author, Stephanie Meyer, in four parts.  I think she's awesome...

Hahah I watched the trailer based on a screen shot and was like...rolling my eyes.

The book reads a bit like a fanfiction, but it really sucks you in hard. I didn't think I'd like it and I don't normally read fiction like this but I loved it. I bought all three books and will be going out to buy her new adult book The Host today. I have no idea how these books are so compelling, but honestly its fun.

I love the Twilight series. While I wouldn't call it "fine literature" it's awesome storytelling. The books remind me of that great feeling you get when you're creating something just for yourself, with no intention of letting anyone else look at it because it's too embarrassing. I really admire Stephanie Meyer for having no qualms about publishing something like that, and it makes me happy to see it do well. She loves those characters, and you can tell. :)

I would say they're good "beach reads".

Oh, dude, super-sparkly baseball-playing vampires on the big screen! I didn't know they were making this (finally read "Twilight" on my flight to NYCC), but I'm so psyched now. :-D
